Assistant Store Manager - Houston Premium Outlets

OverviewMarc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to join its Houston Premium Outlets location in Cypress, Texas. The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store including the overall management of the team, merchandise, and sales results. They will lead by example and deliver positive and inclusive client experiences which contribute to the overall commercial success.ResponsibilitiesSales SupportDemonstrate leadership by playing an active role on the selling floorSupport the sales process as neededAssist in facilitating solutions to customer issuesModel the standards for customer serviceUphold company and store standards, policies and proceduresVisual MerchandisingEnsure store visual merchandising standards are met and maintainedSupport the Visual Team in planning and performing any necessary changes in visual environmentReview sales frequently and take action on visual merchandising to improve salesStaff Training and DevelopmentProvide guidance to sales and support teams – deliver constructive feedback and learning opportunitiesSupport the Store Manager with the recruitment, training, development, and succession of team membersDevelop, train, and continuously motivate associates towards achieving and exceeding sales objectivesOperationsSupport the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure the store meets key performance indicators and profit and loss expectationsMaintain inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards by regularly following up with operations and implementing initiatives as neededPerform any special projects or tasks as directed by the Store ManagerQualifications5+ years' retail experiencePrevious experience managing others within a customer service environment requiredProven record of motivating, developing, and coaching team membersStrong analytical skills - ability to analyze retail KPI's and on-floor behaviorsDemonstrated verbal and written communication skillsPassionate about the customer experienceAbility to connect to the customer through excellent service, strong visual presentation and business acumenDelivers Excellence - demonstrates passion and empathy, anticipates and exceeds client expectationsCultivate an Entrepreneurial Spirit - embraces change and new opportunities while remaining true to the DNA of Marc JacobsCreative & Innovative - promotes curiosity, diversity and collaboration – is open to disruptive ideasComputer skills including operating a POS and navigating Microsoft Office suiteMust have flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and holidaysSalary and BenefitsThe rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate's relevant skills and experience.
