The Assistant Manager is knowledgeable in each product area or department in the store, upholds policies and procedures listed in the visual manual, and is passionate about providing outstanding customer service and promoting the merchandise.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.Assume responsibility for the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when needed.Maintain awareness of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.Direct staff to meet departmental standards and responsibilities.Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.Maintain quality customer service.Perform general administrative duties as needed.Deliver exceptional customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.Promote and sell the store's merchandise and services.Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the various manuals.Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring effective internal controls.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager and carry out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
