Assistant ManagerLocation: Abilene, TX (Mall Of Abilene)Hourly: $12.65 - $12.65SummaryThe Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting and consulting the Store Manager regarding overall operations and administrative duties, including determining methods and approaches necessary to accomplish the store's goals. The Assistant Manager is knowledgeable in each product area or department in the store, upholds policies, procedures and standards listed in the visual manual, and is passionate about giving outstanding customer service and promoting merchandise. In the Store Manager's absence, the Assistant Manager assumes supervisory control and is trained in Store Manager responsibilities.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.Consult with the Store Manager in establishing action plans to accomplish departmental and overall store responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.Assist the Store Manager with overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability across all departments.Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.Assure quality customer service is maintained.Perform general administrative duties as needed and train in the Store Manager's responsibilities.Produce and deliver extraordinary customer service as highlighted in the customer service manual, including assisting customers as they enter the store and handling multiple customers during peak periods.Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.Practice and uphold all Hibbett I City Gear policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, customer service manual, and memos with company direction.Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager, carrying out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving problems.QualificationsExperience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.1–3 years of customer service experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks without being prompted.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.#J-18808-Ljbffr
