Work Experience Description:

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Job Summary
Assists the Stage Manager in supporting rehearsals and performances while contributing to a Christ-centered environment that encourages learning and growth. Provides backstage, organizational, and communication support to the production team, promoting reliability, teamwork, and professional conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support stage management in rehearsals: record blocking, line notes, and rehearsal reports.
  • Track props, costumes, and scene shifts; maintain backstage order and safety.
  • Assist with coordinating auditions and posting cast lists.
  • Maintain cast/crew contact sheets and production documentation.
  • Help prepare and maintain the prompt book under Stage Manager’s supervision.
  • Run backstage during performances: call deck cues, supervise crew, and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Communicate daily schedules, call times, and updates to cast/crew with clarity and respect.
  • Act as a supportive liaison between director, designers, faculty, and student company members, encouraging unity and service.
  • Uphold professional standards while fostering a spirit of humility, growth, and Christlike collaboration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
