We are seeking an Assistant Sheet Metal Field Supervisor to support commercial and industrial HVAC construction projects while developing into a future superintendent-level leader. This position is ideal for experienced sheet metal professionals who have a strong foundation in fabrication and installation and are ready to expand their impact through crew coordination, project oversight, quality control, and leadership development.

Position Responsibilities
- Support daily field operations on commercial and industrial HVAC construction projects
- Assist with crew coordination, manpower planning, scheduling, and work assignments
- Work closely with the Sheet Metal Superintendent and project management teams to ensure successful project execution
- Verify installations comply with project plans, specifications, and SMACNA standards
- Conduct jobsite walkthroughs to monitor quality, safety, productivity, and project progress
- Coordinate material deliveries, fabrication schedules, and field installation requirements
- Assist with layout verification, material tracking, tool management, and project organization
- Maintain communication between fabrication teams, field crews, project managers, and leadership
- Support apprentice and technician development through coaching and mentorship
- Help identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining productivity and quality standards
- Assist with manpower planning and workforce development initiatives
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and craftsmanship on every project
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial or industrial sheet metal fabrication and installation experience
- Strong understanding of ductwork systems, fabrication processes, and installation practices
- Familiarity with SMACNA standards and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings
- Experience supporting field layouts, material planning, and project coordination
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and project support
- Desire to grow into larger field management and leadership responsibilities
- Professional attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement
