Qualifications:
Proven assistant resident engineer who has significant relevant experience on similar projects or equivalent experience acceptable to MTA C&D, with related experience on medium or high voltage installations.
Be a PE licensed in the State of New York as an electrical engineer or is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
· NYCT rail and / or station construction.
· General construction, including construction funded by state agencies.
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific field, or in technical project management.
· Understanding of OSHA requirements and compliance
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Resident Engineer will be expected to collaborate with consultants, and the client staff to develop plans, contracts, agreements, scopes, and schedules related to all maintenance, rehabilitation, or new construction projects.
· Leads and supervises / manages a field staff (including monitoring budgets) for inspection of construction.
· Reviews of the construction schedule and chairs job related meetings.
· Monitors the Contractor's for contract compliance.
· Provides recommendations to the Design Engineer concerning Contractor’s Requests and serves as the Owner’s on-site representative with the Contractor to coordinate and monitor matters of quality, schedule, cost, substantial conformance to the contract documents.

PROJECT:
Shall provide Project Management Consultant (“PMC”) services to assist our client acting by in administering, overseeing, and completing the design and construction of the following:
13Kv Substation Relocation Design-Build Project (“RK9S”) and the following Design-Bid-Build (“DBB”) Construction Projects (the “Projects”) at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (“RFK”):
1. SOC Relocation to Building 104 and RFK Fleet Garage Modifications.
2. Concrete Repairs and coating of the RIJS Ramp Curtain Walls.
3. Concrete Coating of the QR, RQ, MN, MS, and BX Ramps
4. RMB Ejector Pump Upgrades.
