Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable professional to support daily operations in a fast-paced office environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and contributing to efficient property and project management operations.

Job Title: Assistant Property Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Harrisburg, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $17.00/hour

Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager:

  • Support the Project Manager with daily operations to ensure efficiency and organization
  • Assist with public housing applications, including interviewing applicants and processing documentation
  • Handle tenant communications, including complaints and lease enforcement
  • Accept and process rent payments
  • Assist with basic Accounts Receivable tasks
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; take accurate messages
  • Sort incoming mail and prepare outgoing correspondence
  • Schedule appointments and greet visitors professionally
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and Office tools
  • Maintain and update both paper and electronic filing systems
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in preparing materials and attending Board Meetings

Requirements for the Assistant Property Manager:

  • Minimum of 2 years of office or administrative experience required
  • Experience in property management or HUD processes preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Dependable with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle high-stress situations professionally
  • Must meet background check and drug screening requirements
