Assistant Project Manager

An established, privately owned commercial general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of mid‑size commercial construction projects across the Tulsa metro. This role offers hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle, working closely with experienced Project Managers in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

Description

As the Assistant Project Manager, you will support the Project Manager in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects throughout the Tulsa metro area.

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
• Support subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Track project progress and help ensure milestones are met
• Participate in job meetings and maintain clear communication with field teams
• Assist with owner and architect correspondence
• Support project close‑out, including punch lists and final documentation

Profile

For the Assistant Project Manager, we are seeking:

• Experience in commercial construction as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role
• Exposure to projects in the $10M-$20M range preferred
• Understanding of commercial construction processes, documentation, and scheduling
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• A hard‑working, team‑oriented mindset aligned with a collaborative culture
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency with standard construction software and Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to pass a standard pre‑employment background check
