Description

The Residential Construction Assistant Project Manager will:

  • Support Project Managers with the day-to-day management of residential construction projects
  • Coordinate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and permits
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules and tracking milestones
  • Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
  • Assist with contract administration and subcontractor management
  • Help monitor project budgets, commitments, and cost reporting
  • Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules
  • Participate in project meetings and distribute meeting minutes and action items
  • Track inspections, permit requirements, and compliance documentation
  • Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control efforts throughout construction
  • Assist with project closeout, punch list completion, and warranty documentation
  • Ensure project files and construction software systems remain organized and up to date

Profile

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

  • 1-4 years of residential construction experience
  • Experience with a General Contractor, homebuilder, developer, or specialty subcontractor preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Understanding of residential construction practices, scheduling, and project documentation
  • Experience with construction management software preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
