Description


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our Building Automation team. As the Assistant Project Manager, you will learn how to oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of building automation projects. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specified requirements. This role requires excellent project management, technical expertise, and strong communication skills.

Pay Range:
$53,000-$70,000+, negotiable based on experience


Key Responsibilities


  • Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating building automation project
  • Assist with tracking budgets, timelines, and project changes
  • Help coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Maintain project documentation and prepare status updates
  • Conduct site visits and help ensure project quality and safety
  • Collaborate with technical staff to support design, installation, and troubleshooting

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in both office and active construction/job site environments. 
  • Ability to walk job sites, including uneven terrain and partially completed buildings. 
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed to access equipment and project areas. 
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials, tools, plans, or equipment up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for extended periods during site visits and inspections. 
  • Ability to safely navigate mechanical rooms, rooftops, construction areas, and confined workspaces as required.

  • Basic understanding of project documentation and technical drawings
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to quality standards
  • Familiarity with project management tools (a plus)
  • Background in commercial HVAC or building automation systems and controls (a plus)
