Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Rapidly Growing Builder/Developer - Charlestonn will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination
  • Supporting subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and scope reviews
  • Tracking RFIs, submittals, and change orders to ensure timely resolution
  • Supporting cost control, budget tracking, and pay application reviews
  • Assisting with on-site progress reporting and quality control efforts
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and inspectors as needed
  • Supporting closeout documentation and project turnover
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting

Profile

The Assistant Project Manager - Rapidly Growing Builder/Developer - Charleston should have:

    • 1-4 years of experience in construction or project management
    • Exposure to multifamily, commercial, or large-scale residential projects
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented construction environment
    • Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project preferred)

5+ years of construction Project Manager experience with a general contractor is required
Experience on ground-up education, healthcare, and/or commercial construction projects is required
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred
Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
Local to Charlotte preferred, though relocators will be considered
