Position Title: Assistant Project Manager

Location of Resource: Must be located in EST zone
Is travel required for this position: 2-3x a year.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
" Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of core Quality and Market Standards (QMS) program documentation, including the Quality Assurance Manual (QAM) and the Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures (QAPP), to support consistent quality assurance practices across NYSERDA programs.
" Partner with Quality and Market Standards team members and internal program staff to develop, document, validate, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance activities across multiple clean energy programs, ensuring processes are clearly defined, current, and aligned with program requirements.
" Serve as a central resource for process documentation and quality program operations by gathering input from subject matter experts, translating operational practices into clear written procedures, and identifying opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and transparency across programs.
" Act as the Quality and Market Standards liaison to the Joint Utilities, coordinating and participating in recurring meetings with utility representatives to discuss contractor performance, quality trends, inspection findings, and opportunities for alignment on quality assurance practices.
" Support the development and launch of new quality assurance initiatives and programs by helping establish operational processes, documentation, workflows, and administrative structures needed for successful implementation.
" Assist in the design and startup of new QA-related program offerings, including supporting the development of quality assurance approaches for emerging initiatives such as electric school bus charging station inspections and other clean energy technologies as assigned.
" Contribute to the development of solicitations, scopes of work, and supporting procurement materials related to quality assurance services, inspections, technical assistance, and program implementation.
" Collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders to support contractor oversight, program quality, and continuous improvement efforts, while ensuring that quality assurance procedures are practical, scalable, and responsive to program needs.
" Support project management activities associated with documentation development, cross-functional coordination, and new program implementation, including organizing priorities, tracking deliverables, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
" Maintain a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion when handling internal procedures, contractor performance information, and cross-organizational coordination.
" Ability to demonstrate respect, equity, and inclusive behavior and practices of a diverse workforce and community.
" Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Quality & Market Standards team.
To be considered for this position, you should have: Required Skills:
" One to three years of relevant quality assurance experience, such as interacting with markets to accelerate the deployment of QA methods and services, as well as the adoption of standards for technical and work quality, to motivate investor/buyer confidence of the benefits and performance of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
" Demonstrate ability to translate operational, technical, and program requirements into clear written policies, procedures, manuals, and standard operating documents for internal and external stakeholders.
" Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and development processes.
" Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical ability, resourcefulness, adaptability, and an instinct for surfacing pragmatic solutions.
" An ability to build productive relationships across a diverse organization.
" Ability to multi-task, and be self motivated.
" Data Entry, and processing of contracts in NYSERDA's contract management system (NEIS).
" Data analysis and reporting.
" Capacity to provide exceptional service delivery.
" Strong written and oral communication skills.
" Support business process improvement efforts.
" Communicate with customers and vendors to gather project documentation.
Education, Certifications, Degree requirements:- Preferred: A bachelor's degree.
- An associate degree and 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

- Demonstrates ability to establish contacts outside the Authority with suggestions from other staff.
