Marshall University Research Corporation (MURC) employees have different benefit options than those listed below.

Work week is 37.5 hours.

A great highlight in December is that Marshall University employees receive almost two weeks off for Winter Break Holidays - Employees receive 13 Paid Holidays Annual and Sick Leave - Classified Staff, Non-Classified Staff, and 12-month Faculty earn up to 24 days of annual leave per year (max 360 hours) and up to 18 days of sick leave per year.

Job Description:

Assistant Professor- Pathology positions involves clinical and teaching components. Clinical duties include dermatopathology, general surgical pathology, as well as specialty on-call rotation and may include multiple site assignments. Teaching involves both classroom instruction and clinical setting mentoring and education of medical students and residents. Participation in clinical research is encouraged.

Location: MUSOM - Marshall University School of Medicine

Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.

Qualifications:

Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description. Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Required medical degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Experience: Pathology residency and Dermatopathology fellowship.
  • Must be able to obtain West Virginia medical license.
  • Anatomic Pathology board certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Dermatopathology certification.
  • Experience: Anatomic Clinical Pathology certification preferred.
