Scope The Department of Health & Exercise Professions in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Nursing. Candidates from any area of Nursing will be considered. Principal Responsibilities The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate Nursing courses including classroom teaching campus laboratory instruction and clinical instruction. Ohio Northern University faculty teach 23-25 credit hours per year. Additional responsibilities include advising undergraduate students scholarship and service. Required Skills The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates must have medical-surgical or critical care nursing experience. Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in nursing two years of experience as a Registered Nurse and a current valid unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in Ohio. Current American Heart Association CPR certification is also required. Candidates with a terminal degree DNP or PhD in nursing are encouraged to apply.
