  • Provides inpatient and outpatient adult neurology clinical services, including serving as a stroke consultant in assigned neurology outpatient clinic and providing consultation services at affiliated hospitals.
  • Conducts neuro-interventional procedures and provides neuro-critical care and stroke services.
  • Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures.
  • Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
  • Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance such as committee work, neurology professional organizations, and other administrative duties.
  • Contributes to the community through academically related public service complementary to the institutional mission.
  • Participates in chart audits and other clinical performance improvement efforts.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations.
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists the Department Chair with the implementation of departmental policies and monitoring staffing effectiveness.

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Vascular Neurology or Neurocritical Care
  • Successful completion of ACGME- or Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training (CAST)-accredited fellowship program in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology, Neuroendovascular Intervention, or Interventional Neuroradiology
  • Texas Medical License, or eligible for medical licensure in Texas
  • Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
