Interdisciplinary School for Engagement

The Interdisciplinary School for Engagement in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts at the University of Texas at San Antonio offers multiple degrees and minors in Film & Media. The Film & Media Studies program offers courses in screenwriting, production, and film studies, history, and theory.

Salary Range: $4,000/course.

Job Type: Part Time

Position Summary

The successful candidate will teach one section of Film Theory, providing an introduction to film aesthetics and a critical vocabulary of film terminology, through a survey of major film theorists and/or theories or close study of individual theories or theorists.

This is a temporary position with an expected end date of 12/2026. This position may be extended or shortened based on availability of funds and/or departmental need.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will possess a terminal degree in a relevant field, e.g., Film Studies, English, Languages, Aesthetics, New Media, etc.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
