Position Duties/Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor of Kinesiology is responsible for teaching 12 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate courses that prepare students for careers in exercise physiology, sport management, strength and conditioning, and related allied health professions. This faculty member will collaborate with colleagues, students, and community partners to support high-quality teaching, scholarship, and service. Responsibilities include advising undergraduate and graduate students across two to four concentrations within the Department of Kinesiology; serving on departmental, college, and university committees; and actively participating in student recruitment activities throughout the academic year. The Assistant Professor is also expected to engage in ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge and expertise in the discipline, regardless of certification or licensure status.

Note: Applicants who do not hold a terminal degree but possess a masters degree in a related field may be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor in a non-tenure-track, nine-month position with a lower salary.
