The Department of Information Systems and Analytics (ISA) at Texas State University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning fall 2026.
The selected applicant will be expected to conduct high-quality research relevant with information systems, leading to peer reviewed scholarly publications. Particularly, we seek scholars whose research applies Artificial Intelligence (AI), modern Machine Learning (ML), and similar technologies to solve business problems. Additionally, the selected applicant will be expected to teach relevant undergraduate and graduate courses, especially courses in applied AI, modern ML, and software development. Additional job duties include service at the department, college, university, and professional levels.
Texas States San Marcos campus is located in a growing community along the I-35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio. The McCoy College of Business fosters an engaged learning community that prepares the student population for successful business careers as responsible global citizens. The College is AACSB-accredited, has grown more than 30 percent over the last 10 years, and serves over 4,200 undergraduate and nearly 500 graduate students. The ISA Department offers a university-wide undergraduate minor in Data Analytics and offers several degree programs, including the Master of Science in Data Analytics and Information Systems, the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Information Systems, and a newly launched BBA in Business Analytics. Additionally, the department contributes to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
