Purpose:
Lincoln University (Jefferson City, MO) is seeking candidates for an academic year (August/May), tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Engineering, to begin in August 2026. This position will serve existing degree programs in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, and Pre-Engineering.
We seek candidates who are interested in student success while promoting and growing our programs. Candidates must be able to teach across the civil engineering technology curriculum, but we particularly seek candidates with practical skills in CAD (including BIM and civil drawing) and surveying to complement our existing core of expertise in structural engineering and materials. All specialty areas are welcome and encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will bring new ideas and interdisciplinary perspectives, desiring to engage with external entities and looking for opportunities while adeptly navigating a resource-constrained environment. Candidates should articulate a plan for seeking external support for programs/research, including engagement of undergraduate students. Flexibility of candidates is desirable, including a willingness to teach across disciplines were qualified and able.
