The School of Architecture and Design at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites applications for a full-time tenure-track 9-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The typical teaching load per semester includes 6 credit hours of studio instruction and 3 credit hours of support course instruction. with final workload percentages for research teaching and service determined in the first semester of hire. The ideal candidate will provide expertise in digital design and visualization techniques through all levels of both the architecture and interior design programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching courses that integrate design principles with digital modeling and representation including iterating between analog and digital design methods. The candidate will play a vital role in the Schools curriculum bringing their expertise to both representation courses and to studio coursework. An aspect of this position is mentoring students while fostering a respectful and fair learning environment. Responsibilities · Develop curriculum and instruction for digital foundations across the schools discipline of architecture industrial design and interior design. This may include hybrid or online coursework. · Teach co-curricular required support coursework seminars and studio courses in upper division of Architecture and Interior Design curricula as suited to the candidates experience expertise and discipline.
