The School of Social Work at Fayetteville State University (FSU) prepares competent social work professionals at undergraduate and graduate levels, promotes lifelong learning, and enhances the well-being of individuals, children, and families residing in rural, urban, and military communities throughout North Carolina, and globally. The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program at Fayetteville State University, a public comprehensive historically black institution, seeks to provide the knowledge, skills, and values needed to practice beginning generalist social work practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Emphasizing service to rural, urban, and military populations, the BSW program fosters a culture of belonging and inclusion, promoting lifelong learning and preparing students to work effectively in a multicultural and global society.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
This is a tenure-track nine (9)-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will primarily involve teaching in the undergraduate program, but may also be responsible for teaching graduate courses and providing academic advising to students. In addition to instructional duties, the successful applicant must maintain an active scholarship and service program and be willing to seek and participate in extramural funding. The salary for faculty positions is commensurate with the individual's experience and qualifications. The School of Social Work is seeking an innovative educator excited about the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who teach in this program.
