Summary:
The Educational Leadership program at the University of Illinois Springfield invites applications from well-qualified candidates to fill a tenure-system faculty position beginning August 16, 2026. The selected individual will teach Educational Leadership courses for licensure programs in the Educational Leadership preparation programs, certificates, and endorsements (e.g., principal, superintendent). This is a full-time on-campus tenure-track academic appointment. UIS tenure-system faculty are expected to be available and engaged in the university community, with assigned professional responsibilities for teaching, scholarship, and service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaching: Teaching load is three courses per semester, including, but not limited to EDL 505/541, EDL 542, EDL 543, EDL 586 and/or other courses as needed based on expertise of candidate. Three-course load per semester is planned.
Scholarship: A proven record of the ability to produce quality scholarship (Discovery, Integration, Application, or Scholarship of Teaching) within the field of Educational Leadership is required.
Service: Service to School, College, University, and the community is required.
