POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Principal supports the Campus Principal in leading instructional programs, campus operations, student services, and staff development while promoting academic excellence, equity, and the RYSS Schools mission of 'Making It Happen Together.'
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
- Master's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas Principal Certificate or equivalent.
- Certified T-TESS Appraiser.
Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Previous campus leadership experience preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of instructional leadership, curriculum, and assessment.
- Knowledge of TEA regulations and district policies,
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to coach and evaluate educators.
- Ability to analyze student data and implement improvement strategies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational technology.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate assigned professional and support staff.
- Provide leadership to teachers, paraprofessionals, clerical staff, and campus support personnel.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
