JOB TITLE: Assistant Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
FLSA: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Principal/Directors/Designee
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies governing education in state and system.
Knowledge of curriculum, instructional programs, and best practices for the appropriate level.
Willingness to learn budgetary and supervisory responsibilities.
Ability to work with people effectively.
Knowledge of scheduling and supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities.
Ability to use data in the decision-making process.
Demonstrates interpersonal styles and methods to guide individuals and groups toward task accomplishment.
Ability to facilitate problem-solving by individuals and groups.
Ability to use technology resources in records, management, curriculum, and the total school program.
Sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity to perform all required tasks.
Demonstrates high standards of professional conduct.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the system's approved compensation plan.

Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the system.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
