Assistant Principal Responsibilities:
Assists with the maintenance of a safe and effective learning environment by performing the following responsibilities:
Application of the student discipline code of conduct, and co-curricular code of conduct.
Assists in the supervision of athletic contests, school plays, concerts, and dances.
Supervises the reporting and monitoring of students' attendance.
Keeps an accurate computer record of student discipline referrals and interventions.
Works with students to address common concerns of such as: peer relationships, academic difficulties, classroom behavior, and other common experiences that may be interfering with academic achievement.
Works as a liaison between staff, parents, and outside agencies related to individual student issues/concerns.
Initiates communication with parents to discuss concerns.
Acts as a resource to administrators and faculty on matters of student discipline.
Evaluate staff as needed
Provided educational coaching for staff
Take on other administrative duties including but not limited to: scheduling, assessment coordinating, and data collection
Activities Director Responsibilities:
Over see the high school co-curricular clubs: Fall Play, Art Club, Book Club, CHS Cares, Clarion, ESports, FFA, FBLA, Forensics, GEAC (Spanish Club), GSA, Interact, Math Team, Musical, NHS, Project Unify, Student Council, Year Book.
Organizes and administers the co-curricular activities for the building consistent with board policy to emphasize maximum student participation
Recommends co-curricular advisors to High School Principal
Develops and coordinates the co-curricular activities budget. Develops and implements the Co-Curricular policies, procedures, and handbook. Develops and implements advisors policies, procedures, and handbook.
Establishes the physical and academic requirements of eligibility for participation in each club, and verifies each member's eligibility.
Supports the district's and building annual goals and contributes to their implementation. Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups, as requested by the Principal, to advance educational activities and objectives.
