We are currently seeking a dynamic, driven, and experienced individual to serve as a Assistant Plant Manager in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company in the industry, where you will play a pivotal role in driving our operations forward. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a strategic mindset, capable of overseeing daily operations, coordinating production planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. With a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and safety, this role is integral to our success and growth.

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Assisting the Plant Manager in managing and directing all plant operations to meet the production goals, quality standards, and cost objectives.
2. Collaborating in the planning, development, and implementation of operational strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the plant’s goals.
3. Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way while maintaining high quality standards.
4. Identifying process bottlenecks and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
5. Assisting in the development and management of the plant’s budget and ensuring operations stay within allocated resources.
6. Collaborating with other departments such as HR, finance, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
7. Implementing and enforcing safety and environmental compliance standards.
8. Assisting in the development of a workforce plan and managing the performance of the team.
9. Leading continuous improvement initiatives and implementing operational best practices.
10. Preparing regular reports and presentations on plant metrics for senior management.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing setting.
3. Proven experience in planning, organizing, and controlling production schedules.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing and operational processes.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and drive performance.
6. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with industry-specific software and systems.
9. Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
10. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
