SUMMARY

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Market 32 customers. Responsible for preparing, baking, and merchandising all patisserie bakery products under the direct supervision of the bakery team leader to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Maintains a clean and sanitized workstation in accordance with corporate and state sanitation regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the patisserie bakery operation within the retail store environment to include preparation, baking, merchandising and final presentation of all patisserie bakery products. Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service always. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customer upon fulfilling customers request. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, always. Responsible for ensuring all recipes are followed to guidelines as well as all product on display is fresh, labeled correctly and priced accordingly. Responsible for assisting and/or creating customer special orders (i.e.: cake orders) as well as showcasing cakes in the patisserie for customer purchase. Responsible for operating bakery department equipment including but not limited to ovens, mixers, and utensils. Responsible for supervision of all teammates who work in the patisserie area to ensure customer service is exceptional as well as all safety and sanitation procedures are met. Adhere to all corporate and state sanitation regulations in keeping a neat and clean workstation. Must be familiar with state and corporate safety standards. Control shrinks through adherence to related policies and procedures. Ability to work effectively both individually as well as on a team. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adheres to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1 year of experience as a cake decorator.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
