Position at a Glance

Location: Allentown, PA Position Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Address: 9981 Old Route 22 Breinigsville, PA 18031

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Parts Manager, you'll support the leadership and daily operations of the Parts Department, helping drive sales growth, operational efficiency, and compliance while supporting team development. You will:

  • Support Parts Department personnel in growing parts sales through effective use of resources, marketing materials, and merchandising
  • Assist with implementing Hunter Truck policies, procedures, and dealership training programs
  • Update and maintain CRM systems to track business opportunities and assess success ratios
  • Enforce safety rules and support compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations
  • Develop and maintain effective merchandising displays
  • Partner with the Parts Manager to develop training and succession plans for the department
  • Assist in preparing and administering the annual Parts Department operating budget
  • Maintain accurate vehicle and major asset maintenance records to maximize return on assets
  • Support Area of Responsibility (AOR) development through research, customer visits, and trade show participation
  • Attend manager meetings and collaborate with leadership to accomplish assigned goals
  • Promote a professional appearance and a safe, team-focused work environment
  • Conduct safety training, inspections, and accident prevention initiatives as directed
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement measures

What You Bring

Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 5+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal skills required. Experience with medium- and heavy-duty trucks is required.

Certificates & Licenses: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification preferred; related parts or product certifications considered Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards

Physical Requirements: Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
