Description: Lakeville Arenas is accepting applications for a seasonal Assistant Operations Supervisor to help with Mite Hockey Camp operations and Welcome Center Operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the full daily operation of an all-day hockey camp for mites, ensuring a safe, engaging, and development-focused environment for players of varying ages and skill levels. This role combines on-ice coaching, off-ice leadership, program coordination, and positive mentorship.

Anticipated starting salary is $20.26 - $21.81 per hour, DOQ2026 salary range is $20.26-$26.18 per hour

Work Schedule: Camps run June 1 through August 31. Seasonal or multi-week commitment is required.

Full-day camp hours (typically 7-8 hours/day). Days may be split into shifts depending on availability.

Includes on and off-ice responsibilities.

Additional work hours outside of camps may be available, if desired.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Lead on-ice instruction: run skill-development sessions focusing on skating, shooting, passing, game concepts, and position-specific techniques. • Develop daily training plans: create structured practice plans and off-ice activities aligned with camp goals. • Supervisor campers throughout the day: maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment during all activities. • Mentor assistant coaches: guide junior staff, delegate responsibilities, and model professional coaching behavior. • Communicate with parents/guardians: provide updates on camper progress, address concerns, and represent the camp with professionalism. • Ensure safety and risk management: enforce rink rules, monitor equipment use, and respond appropriately to injuries or incidents. • Promote teamwork and sportsmanship: foster a positive culture on and off the ice. • Coordinate off-ice activities: lead dryland training, team-building exercises, and educational sessions. • Manage daily logistics: oversee attendance, schedule flow, equipment needs, and transitions between activities. • Other duties as apparent or assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Advanced hockey knowledge, through participation or coaching preferred • Ability to design age-appropriate training sessions and activities • Strong leadership and communication skills • Experience working with children • Ability to perform sustained physical work and long periods standing • Ability to communicate and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner and to remain calm and composed in difficult situations with upset or angry customers

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. • Possession of valid driver's license • CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain • Experience providing friendly and professional customer service • Experience coaching and/or supervising youth

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience coaching youth (ages 5-9) • Educational teaching experience
