Job Description

Assistant of Excellence

(21st Century Community Learning Centers)

Responsible to: Site Director of Extended School Program

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Must be eighteen years old or a senior in high school
3. Must pass a pre-employment physical examination with controlled substance

testing and random tests for controlled substances and alcohol, fingerprints and

background checks

1. Prefer prior experience working with children

General Requirements:

1. Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest

standards of public education and in support of the Program's Vision/Mission

Statements

1. Maintains ethical standards, which include professionalism and the protection of

confidential student and staff information

1. Projects a positive image of the Coffee County School System at all times
2. Monitors and maintains the safety of all children at the Excellence site
3. Other responsibilities and/or duties may be required and assigned

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Supervision of students
2. Maintain a safe and fun environment for attendees
3. Assist the site director in all capacities
4. Assist students with homework daily
5. Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games
6. Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity area
7. Assist with snacks and full day food prep
8. Prepare and assist with craft activities
9. Monitor children on field trips
10. Clean and maintain sanitary conditions at the site
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Excellence Site Director
