POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the unit and service line as needed and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all service line staff.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains Clinical Expertise so as to be ready and able to assume staff role as needed. • Monitors Patient Care Activities • Directs and Organizes Staff development • Demonstrates Leadership Skills

Qualifications:

Education: Associate Degree, BSN preferred

Experience: 2-3 yrs RN experience in Medical/Surgical

License: Registered Nurse

Certification: BLS & ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
