Position Summary Now Hiring: Assistant Nurse Operations Manager (ANOM) \u2013 Children's Emergency & Trauma Unit Location: Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Orlando, FL Department: Children's Emergency & Trauma Type: Full-time Shift: Second Shift The Children's Emergency Department The Children's Emergency Department provides care on a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week basis, and is located on the first floor of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. It consists of 29 private Acute Care beds and four (4) Resuscitation/Trauma beds. Clinical activities include but not limited to: triaging ED patients, emergent stabilization of both medical and trauma patients, procedural sedation, cardiac monitoring as appropriate, medication administration, collection of laboratory specimens, IV therapy, point of care testing including; glucose monitoring, urine screens, and rapid strep screens, and patient and family education including medical care, treatment and prevention. Lead recruitment, staff scheduling, and performance evaluations. Promote quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care and safety. Serve as a role model, mentor, and advocate for nursing excellence and professional development. Collaborate with HR, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and staff engagement. Qualifications What You Bring to the Table Education: Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a related graduate degree Licensure/Certifications: Active RN license in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Basic Life Support (BLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or ability to obtain) Experience: At least two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room setting (Pediatrics prefer). Leadership experience is a plus, but not required\u2014this is a growth opportunity! Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
