Advance your nursing leadership career as an Assistant Nurse Manager for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time day shift leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in progressive care, acute care, medical-surgical nursing, and post-surgical patient care.

As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you'll partner with the Nurse Manager to lead daily operations, mentor nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced progressive care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations and clinical leadership of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Lead, coach, and support Registered Nurses and patient care staff.
• Promote safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care for adult medical and surgical patients.
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, staffing assignments, and patient throughput.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Provide direct patient care as needed while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

Experience

• Medical-Surgical nursing experience

• Post-surgical nursing experience

• Progressive acute care nursing experience

• Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or other nursing leadership experience

Licensure & Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
