**Job Description** **UW Medical Center-Northwest** has an outstanding opportunity for an **Assistant Nurse Manager/RN3** to join us in our **Main Operating Room.** **WORK SCHEDULE:** + Full time + Hours are 0800-1830 + 40 hours/week **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** + Assists with RN3 operational and leadership duties as applicable + Collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager, and Assistant Nurse Manager / RN3 peers + Close to public transportation + Make a difference in patients and employees we serve **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** Provides professional nursing care while supporting daily operations and team leadership within the unit. Serves as a clinical resource, supports staff development, and partners with the Nurse Manager to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Deliver safe, high-quality patient care (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) + Coordinate care across departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes + Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff + Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing competency development + Assist with daily operations, including patient flow and staffing coordination + Promote effective communication among patients, families, and care team + Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain standards of care + Provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members + Serve as charge nurse as assigned and participate in committees as needed + Assist with unit goals, program development, and process improvements **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** + Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid Multistate license. + Surgical Scrub experience strongly preferred + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Masters Preferred + Minimum of two years of professional surgical nursing experience or equivalent education/experience. + Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room registered nurse, with proficiency in perioperative nursing practice **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST** UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
