Apply today to our Assistant Nurse Manager Clinical and be a part of the innovation of ideas.Job Summary and QualificationsResponsible for the operations of the Patient Logistic Centers with oversight of Transfer Center, Centralized Patient Placement (patient flow), Discharge Transport and Behavioral Health.ARC. Plan and communicate, under the direction of the PLC Clinical Manager, with HCA hospitals, medical staff, administrators, department leads, and nursing staff to effectively direct bed placement, admissions, transport and transfers from HCA and non-HCA hospitals. Lead and manage all members of these teams and work directly with the PLC Clinical Manager to maximize volume growth and provide optimized services to HCA customers.Duties Include but not limited to:Provide leadership, management and administration of all aspects of departments in order to ensure organizational mission and objectives are metFunction as both an Assistant Nurse Manager and Transfer Center Agent when delegated as suchImplement and manage processes that will enhance access to HCA facilities, services, physicians, and health care professionalsHelp with hiring and maintain appropriate staffing levels and utilization of personnel and ensure the highest quality of professional skillProvide a structured means for policy and procedure development through regularly scheduled staff meetings allowing for continual evaluation, review, and update of standards, functions, goals, and objectivesAttend HCA Corporate Transfer Center meetings and trainingPromote HCA culture of excellence and quality service through teamwork, respectful communication, maintenance of a professional environment, partnership with those we serve, and anticipation of patient and customer needsManage capital/operational budget, strategic planning, customer relations, marketing, and outreach activities of the Transfer Center, Centralized Patient Placement and Behavioral HealthConsult with HCA Corporate and Division legal advisors on the interpretation and enforcement of the Inspector's General Safe Harbor Regulations, EMTALA, Stark Laws, and any other points of law that are pertinent to department activitiesIn conjunction with the PLC Clinical Manager, collect, correlate, analyze, and interpret operational, financial, and statistical data. Inform and advise appropriate members of the HCA Senior Management team of potential business opportunitiesDemonstrate responsibility for the containment of costs through appropriate ordering of supplies, recovery of service charges, and conservation of suppliesMonitor department expenditures to ensure compliance with budget limitsRespond promptly to changes in workload, adjusting assignments as necessary to achieve optimal productivity and efficiencyImplement standards of performance, conduct annual performance evaluation, and initiate or make recommendations for HR actionsProvide leadership development to all staff for effective problem identification and resolution, and for efficient day-to-day operationsPractice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value StatementOther duties as assignedEducation & Experience:Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Minimum of 2 years' experience as a RN clinical supervisor and/or supervisory experience preferred. RN License in the states where the HCA facilities for that Division are located - multi-state license required if Transfer Center covers more than a single state (may be obtained upon hire)Parallon provides full-service revenue cycle management, or total patient account resolution, for HCA Healthcare.
