Position Summary
The Assistant Manager, Nursing (ANM) supports the Nurse Manager in the supervision and coordination of nursing services within a designated patient care area. This role involves planning, providing, supervising, and documenting professional nursing care using the nursing process for patients in accordance with provider orders and established policies and procedures. The ANM plays a key role in promoting quality outcomes, staff development, operational efficiency, and a culture of excellence in patient and family-centered care.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program or higher is required.
Candidates without a BSN may be considered if actively enrolled in an accredited BSN program (proof of enrollment required) and must obtain the degree within three years of hire/placement in the role.
Licensure:
Current unrestricted RN license required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI) may be required based on unit specialty.
Experience:
Two to three years of clinical nursing experience. Specialty experience may be required based on unit/department (e.g., OR, ICU, ED).
Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
Preferred Requirements:
Candidates with a BSN are required in Magnet-designated facilities, where professional nursing practice standards emphasize baccalaureate preparation for nurse leaders, including interim roles.
Pay Range
Assistant Nurse Manager : $43.40 - $59.68
