Assistant Nurse Manager – Bronx, NY

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at a mission-driven non-profit network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in New York. In this role, you'll support the Nurse Manager in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes healthcare access for underserved communities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license; valid Infection Control Certificate, BCLS, and Child Abuse Certification.
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (FQHC or community health settings a plus).
Proficiency in EHR systems, supply chain management, and clinical workflow optimization.
Leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement patient care activities alongside the Nurse Manager and healthcare team.
Assist in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing care and recommend improvements to the Nurse Manager.
Monitor selection and use of unit supplies, technology, and equipment.
Keep unit staff informed of medical center developments and participate in patient care area planning and problem-solving.
Conduct and facilitate leadership and care team meetings, drive meeting outcomes, and maintain minutes.
Coordinate ER referrals.
Record, report, and interpret patient responses and collaborate with the Family Practice health team
Stay current with nursing policies and standards and implement them.
Participate in the department's performance improvement activities.
Assume the Nurse Manager's responsibilities in their absence, including hiring, termination, and employee evaluations.
