The organization is seeking an Assistant News Editor to support its eHub team in curating daily print editions and expanding online eNewspaper products.

Responsibilities include:
- Designing reader-focused layouts for various sections, emphasizing important stories
- Collaborating with editors and reporters on daily coverage
- Managing the visual presentation of print and digital editions for consistency
- Working efficiently under tight deadlines, making real-time adjustments
- Writing headlines, refining display type, catching errors, and improving readability
- Using industry tools like Adobe Creative Suite and AI-driven editorial systems
Requirements:
- Strong news judgment and some newsroom design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is helpful
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and work under deadline with changing priorities
- Sharp editing and headline skills, understanding of AP style and print workflows
- Collaborative mindset, flexibility to work nights and weekends
Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000, based on experience and other factors.
