    The Assistant Middle School Boys Soccer Coach will support the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting a successful soccer program for middle school student-athletes. The assistant coach will help develop players'' soccer skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and contribute to a positive, safe, and supportive environment that encourages student-athletes to grow academically, athletically, and personally.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with planning and conducting practices, workouts, and team activities.

    • Help teach fundamental soccer skills, techniques, and game strategies.

    • Assist the Head Coach with game preparation, coaching, and competition management.

    • Support the development of teamwork, discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship.

    • Help monitor student-athlete academic eligibility, attendance, and behavior.

    • Provide supervision and support for student-athletes during practices and competitions.

    • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents/guardians, coaches, and athletic department staff.

    • Follow all school, district, conference, and athletic department policies and procedures.

    • Assist with maintaining and organizing team equipment, uniforms, and athletic facilities.

    • Attend required coaches'' meetings, professional development, and athletic department activities.

    • Serve as a positive role model and representative of Lexington Middle School and its athletic program.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience preferred.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and coaching staff.

    • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to effectively work with and motivate middle school student-athletes.

    • Must meet all school district and athletic department coaching requirements and certifications.

    • Must maintain required CPR/First Aid certification and complete all required coaching education and safety training.
