CU Athletics is seeking an Assistant Men's Golf Coach! This position will assist the head coach in the day to day operations of the men's golf program. Work includes coaching student athletes in training and competitions, assisting with student recruitment, and travel and tournament management.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department's Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

Coaching Responsibilities:
The assistant coach will help in developing a practice plan for each individual team member, assisting players in competitions, tracking student athletes' progress and making needed adjustments throughout the season. The assistant coach will focus on player development throughout the year both on and off the course.
Recruiting:
Ability to determine qualified pool of prospective student-athletes and assess the individual talent, and character, of each prospect. Ability to communicate well with prospects, their parents or legal guardians and often, their teaching professional by telephone and/or in-person contact. Creativity in written communications with prospective student-athletes. Assist the head coach with coordinating the Official Campus Visits made by prospects and their parents or legal guardians. Ability to organize and manage database of recruits and all correspondence with them. Identify and form relationships with prospects that fit the Colorado Men's Golf Program both athletically, academically and socially and who will represent the University in a positive way.
Team Management:
Assistant coach will help coordinate and assist head coach with team travel, academics, community outreach, and student-athlete issues.
Tournament Management:
Coordinate with head coach team schedule, including fall and spring tournaments and hosting of "home" events.
Administrative Duties:
Assist the head coach on inventory selection and control of golf equipment/supplies/clothing orders for the team members and the coaching staff. Complete required recruiting, travel and miscellaneous paperwork in a timely and appropriate manner. Participate in activities that assist in the promotion of the athletic department and CU Men's Golf Program. Assist head coach with compliance paperwork, time management and budget.
