JOB TITLE: Assistant Men's Basketball Coach REPORTS TO : Head Men's Basketball Coach DEPARTMENT : Athletics START DATE : August 1, 2026 CLASSIFICATION : Part Time Staff SALARY: Room and Board + $1,500 General Function: Andrew College is seeking a qualified Assistant Men's Basketball Coach . The candidate will assist the Head Basketball Coach in all aspects of the basketball program as deemed necessary. The successful candidate must adher e to all NAIA, Sou thern States Conference, and Andrew College policies. The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach must understand the dynamics of a small college setting and have the ability to take on several tasks outside the coaching arena towards success for the Athlet ic Department and Andrew College as a whole. Duties and Responsibilities: - Fulfill the mission, vision, and strategic plan of the Andrew College department of athletics as it pertains to the Men's Basketball program . - Must have the ability to conduct weightlifting and skill workouts regularly . - Coaching responsibilities that are d eemed necessary by the Head Coach. - Assist coaching staff with practices, game planning, and off-season training . - Help o versee academic progress of student athletes . - Develop healthy department and player relationships . - Meet NAIA and Southern State Conference compliance guidelines and regulations . - Good driving record with ability to drive Andrew College vans and recruiting vehicles . - Interact with other Andrew College departments . - Record game stats . - Gym maintenance duties as assigned by the Head Coach . - Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men's Basketball Coach . Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job you may be required to lift and/or move heavy items. You will also be required to work irregular hours, including nights and we ekends. Minimum Requirements: - Associate Degree required/Bachelor's Degree preferred . However, consideration will be given to those candidates with an equivalent com bination of education, experience, and training. Previous head or assistant colleg iate level coaching experience preferred. A valid driver 's license is require d. - Must be authorized for unrestricted employment in the United States indefinitely with no immigration sponsorship needed.
