Assistant Mechanical Project Manager

Seeking an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager / Estimator to support fast-paced HVAC, plumbing, commercial, municipal, and mechanical projects.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical construction, estimating, project coordination, assistant project management, field, or service experience who wants to grow into a full project management role.The Assistant Mechanical Project Manager / Estimator will work closely with senior project managers, estimators, field leadership, customers, vendors, and subcontractors while learning how to manage projects from initial scope development through closeout.Projects typically range from $5,000 to $2 million , giving this person exposure to a wide variety of quick-turn mechanical work, customer relationships, estimating, procurement, scheduling, and financial management.Responsibilities Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical projects from estimate through closeoutSupport site walks, scope development, quantity takeoffs, and estimate preparationHelp prepare proposals, budgets, purchase orders, and project documentationReview drawings, specifications, field conditions, and customer requirementsCoordinate with vendors, subcontractors, field teams, and internal project managersAssist with procurement, purchasing, scheduling, and material trackingHelp manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, closeout documents, and project filesCommunicate with customers, owners, general contractors, and municipal clients as neededTrack project costs, schedules, and open itemsSupport multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environmentLearn project financial management, forecasting, and customer relationship managementQualifications 2+ years of experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, estimating, project coordination, assistant project management, field supervision, or service coordinationStrong interest in growing into a project management and estimating roleAbility to read or learn construction drawings, specifications, scopes, and project documentsHVAC, plumbing, mechanical contracting, commercial construction, or service background preferredEstimating or takeoff experience is a plusJOC, municipal, service, or small projects experience is a plusStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and follow through on detailsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn#J-18808-Ljbffr
