Main responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales Manager in developing and executing merchandising strategies to increase market share, sales, and profitability across assigned categories.
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate category performance, identify assortment opportunities, and assess consumer and competitive trends.
  • Assist in creating and managing a 52-week promotional calendar, including ad writing, execution, and post-promotion performance analysis.
  • Analyze category performance data and recommend adjustments to pricing, product mix, and promotional strategies.
  • Evaluate new products and provide recommendations for category inclusion and development.
  • Monitor sales targets and recommend program updates or corrective actions to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and SWOT assessments to inform category planning and strategic decisions.
  • Support development and implementation of new products, programs, and processes to maintain industry leadership.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings, market visits, or company events

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening as required by company policy
