Position Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time position and a key leadership position that supports the General Manager

in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring smooth store performance and excellent customer service. This role

assists in supervising and developing staff, managing schedules, monitoring inventory, and maintaining food safety

and overall store standards. The Assistant Store Manager helps drive sales, control costs, and implement company

policies and procedures, while stepping into the General Manager’s responsibilities when they are absent.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the hiring, training, and development of store employees to achieve performance goals.

• Monitor financial reports and identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability.

• Ensure product rotation and use by date checks are completed routinely to guarantee top quality products

are always available.

• Control costs through waste reduction, inventory accuracy, labor management, and cash handling.

• Maintain proper coverage through scheduling, resource allocation, and daily task communication to the

team.

• Ensure all daily tasks are carried out fully and on time and perform these tasks directly as needed to ensure

completion.

• Support the oversight and accuracy for price changes and signage throughout the store.

• Maintain excellent customer service standards and resolve customer concerns.

• Manage inventory levels, vendor deliveries, product ordering and product merchandising as directed by the

GM or in place of the GM when needed.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local/state regulations.

• Maintain regular and prompt attendance and ensure all team members on duty do the same.

• Professionally interact with team members and customers.

• Create and maintain an inclusive, collaborative team culture focused on teamwork and best in class customer

service.

Qualifications

• Previous retail and leadership experience required.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• 21+ years old with reliable transportation.

• Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.

• Proven leadership in fast-paced retail environment preferred.

• Strong background in store operations, training, sales building, and expense control.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.

• Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced retail and food service environment.

• The kitchen (if applicable to location) is subject to high temperatures and humidity.

• Prolonged walking or standing throughout shift.

• Substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers

• Frequent bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Status: Full-time, exempt

• Pay range between $42,000 – $50,000 annually and is commensurate with position, experience, and location.

• Medical and dental coverage with additional voluntary benefits including vision, and life insurance.

• Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays, subject to a 90-day waiting period
