Job Summary The Assistant Manager assists in the oversight of gym operations to ensure a welcoming and positive experience for members, guests, and prospects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Help maintain a welcoming atmosphere
• Oversee member service
• Support and assist the General Manager
• Assist with staff management
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop staff
• Provide coverage during absences
• Resolve or escalate employee issues or concerns
• Employee discipline, retraining, or offboarding
• Assist in inventory, supplies, and reporting
• Informed on marketing campaigns, promotions, and offers
• Involved in all front desk operations
• Greet members, guests, and prospects
• Respond to member questions and concerns
• Answer phones promptly
• Check in members and update accounts
• Facilitate new member sign-ups and conduct tours
• Assist with cleaning and organizing the club

Qualifications and Requirements

• Superior customer service skills
• Leadership experience is a plus
• Basic computer proficiency
• Passionate about fitness and health
• Positive and interpersonal
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to resolve issues effectively
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Schedule Requirements

• Schedule must fit the needs of the club
• Must work full-time hours

Physical Demands

• Remain standing or walking for extended periods
• Frequent communication in-person and via phone
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Handle cleaning chemicals or biohazards safely

Compensation 15.50 per hour
