The Assistant Shop Manager is the Shop Manager's key leadership partner and plays a critical role in driving the success of the shop. This position supports daily operations, leads the client experience, develops team members, drives sales performance, and ensures Drybar standards are consistently upheld.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience
- Lead and protect The Drybar Experience by ensuring exceptional service for every guest.
- Resolve client concerns professionally and provide service recovery when needed.
- Coach team members in hospitality, professionalism, and service standards.
Leadership & Team Development
- Support daily staffing, floor management, and operational execution.
- Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and accountability.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
- Foster a positive, team-focused culture aligned with Drybar's Heart & Soul values.
Sales & Performance
- Drive awareness and achievement of shop goals, including memberships, add-ons, retail sales, SPC, and guest satisfaction.
- Coach team members to maximize performance and create a motivating sales culture.
- Partner with the Shop Manager to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Operations
- Support scheduling, labor management, inventory control, and daily shop operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times.

The Assistant Shop Manager serves as a leader on every shift, modeling professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. This role acts as the Shop Manager's partner in driving culture, developing talent, achieving business goals, and ensuring every guest receives the consistent, luxury-level Drybar experience that defines our brand.
Qualifications:
Must have 2+ years of leadership experience in previous retail, salon or spa environment
Must be able to work a Wednesday-Sunday schedule
