 Do you love dogs and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? The Dog Stop Knoxville is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership, customer service, and dog care experience who is excited to be part of an established, successful, and fast-paced business and help continue driving its success. 

This role is ideal for someone who can confidently lead day-to-day dog care operations, support staff, build strong client relationships, and help ensure every guest receives the exceptional care and service The Dog Stop is known for. Candidates should be comfortable working hands-on with dogs while also helping oversee team performance and daily back-of-house operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience indog care, employee management, and customer service is required

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supervising and directing safe, positive play
  • Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for guests
  • Overseeing staff and canine interactions
  • Managing back-of-house operations
  • Implementing and training team members on corporate policies and procedures
  • Identifying dog play styles and behaviors and responding proactively
  • Supporting staff management and accountability through ongoing coaching, guidance, and feedback 
  • Assisting with social media content
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Giving client tours and helping create a welcoming experience for prospective and current clients
  • Ensuring guests and their owners feel comfortable and receive the level of service they’ve come to expect from The Dog Stop
  • Contributing to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
Necessary Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in retail and customer service
  • At least 1 year of employee management experience
  • At least 1 year of dog care experience
  • Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required
