We're looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on leader who's ready to help run the show while also taking our custom cake game to the next level. If you love people, ice cream, and a little frosting magicthis role is for you.
What You'll Do as Assistant Manager/Cake Specialist:
- Assisting in managing staff schedules and monitoring team performance
- Delivering exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly
- Helping to manage inventory levels and placing orders as needed
- Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to boost sales and guest satisfaction
- Assisting with the training, mentoring, and evaluation of staff to uphold performance and brand standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and employees
- Providing operational support to meet financial goals, including budgeting and reporting
- Design, build, and decorate custom Ben & Jerry's ice cream cakes with flair and precision
- Manage cake orders: take customer requests, offer design suggestions, and ensure timely delivery/pick-up
- Maintain cake inventory and prep stock cakes for display
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm fun seasonal designs and promotion
- Ensure quality control, food safety, and cleanliness in cake production areas
- Regularly support scoop shop operations (scooping, cleaning, customer service)
Who You Are:
- A natural leader with 1+ year of food service or retail experience (management experience a big plus!).
- Skilled in customer service and team collaboration.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and confident in cake decorating (basic piping skills preferred).
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced, fun, and often messy environment.
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays.
