DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Cafe Operations

Manages and delegates daily functions of the café:

• Food Preparation
• Serving Guests
• Daily and weekly cleaning duties
• Proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment
• Catering Coordination
• 3rd Party Delivery Coordination
• Manages ordering and inventory for all products
• Communicates and stays updated on all marketing and promotional materials
• Manages schedule conflicts for all team members

Staff Development & Training

• Interacts with team members and customers with a fun and welcoming attitude
• Ensure new and current team members are up to date on online training, food handling certification and Serve Safe requirements if applicable
• Provide regular feedback to employees regarding their performance 
• Presents a consistent, professional image of the cafe, lead by example by following applicable policy and procedures

Guest Satisfaction and Brand Loyalty

• Maintains and exceeds customer expectations to build brand loyalty
• Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand
• Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• 2 years of managerial experience in food service, restaurant, catering or grocery  environment with demonstrated increased responsibility
• Experience training, mentoring and coaching individuals 
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence in both front of the house and back of the house
• Track record of managing cost of goods 
• Current ServSafe Certification 
• Basic computer skills, including e-mail, internet, spreadsheets and word processing
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to pass drug test/background check
• Must have reliable transportation - coverage of other cafes may be required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Positive, fun, upbeat atmosphere, where teamwork is a must and individuals are valued
• Clean environment: NO grease, NO fryers!
• Comfortable uniforms: polos, t-shirt, shorts / jeans, and tennis shoes
• 24-45 hour work week
• Work Hours will generally fall within 8:00 to 5:00, however when coverage is needed, our cafe operations hours are:
• Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Saturday: 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM 
• Sunday: 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM
