FULL-TIME | $22-$24 PER HOUR | REPORTS TO THE OWNER
Hammer & Nails Annapolis is looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager who can keep a busy service business organized while making sure every guest feels taken care of. This person will work directly with the owner and help lead the front desk, membership sales, staff coordination, and day-to-day shop operations.

Key Responsibilities


•        Help manage daily operations, including opening and closing the shop.
•        Lead the front desk and maintain a polished, welcoming guest experience.
•        Drive membership sales, upgrades, rebooking, and guest retention.
•        Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, onboarding, training, and team accountability.
•        Monitor sales goals, labor, service flow, inventory, and retail displays.
•        Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
•        Serve as the manager on duty when the owner is not present.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


•        At least two years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
•        Salon, barbershop, spa, hospitality, retail, or membership-sales experience strongly preferred.
•        Comfort with booking, point-of-sale, scheduling, CRM, or similar business software.
•        Strong communication, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
•        Availability for opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
